Bio: Thomas Avery Garran, PhD, has been studying beneficial plants for over 30 years. He is an internationally known author and lecturer with five books, including two translations. He has been an invited lecturer in China, Taiwan, Portugal, and the U.S. Dr. Garran lived and studied in China for nearly two decades, and was the first non-Chinese recipient of a PhD in materia medica studies on mainland China.
