This 90-minute webinar offers a physician's perspective on the state of the coronavirus pandemic, with updates on epidemiology and preventive guidelines, emerging data on the pathomechanisms and complications of COVID-19 infection, and emerging treatments including medications and vaccines. We will discuss the tension between relaxing social distancing and preventing a resurgence of infections and grapple with alternative and conventional perspectives on prevention and treatment. We will review red flags for seeking a higher level of care, and explore ways that herbalists can collaborate with other healthcare providers in their communities to promote well-being. Participants will be invited to submit questions in advance and also have opportunities to engage in discussion during the presentation via the chat room.
