Total Course Hours: 8
THESE WEBINARS WERE RECORDED IN NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2017.
The key to flexible and patient-specific formulation is the study and understanding of herbal pairs and triplets. These synergistic combinations may make effective interventions on their own, or may become modular components of more complex formulas. In this Webinar series we will describe a template for materia medica assessment that leads to effective herbal pairing, offer a set of principles for combining 2-3 herbs, with examples, then offer a set of 40 or more practical herbal pairs and triplets developed over the more than 40 years of experience of the presenter.
Session One: A materia medica template for effective formulation. Selection and substitution of herbs for specific humoral, clinical, and tissue-specific effects.
Session Two: Principles of herbal pairing with examples from historical and contemporary herbalism.
Session Three: Practical herbal pairs. Forty pairs and triplets of herbs with potent clinical effects.
Session Four: Constructing the patient-specific formula.
